Hairwraps are believed to have come from the Native American Indians, see picture below..
.in our research we found they used all sorts of fabric,pieces of pelt,and thongs,to make the wraps
and we are sure each individual tribe had their own styles,
much the same as a lot of hairwrappers do nowadays.
also with some African influences but this was more on the braiding side
its roots are really untracable.
